In terms of Subway lines, there are a handful of options. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use 1, 2, or 3 Train: Get off at the 79th St station (1 min walk). <\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use B Train or C Train: Get off 81 St\u2013Museum of Natural History Station (5 min walk)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are even more bus stops than train stations — and here I thought that the trains ruled the city. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surprisingly, the 100 year old bar offers WiFi for it’s guests. Many bars don’t, so that’s definitely a plus. However, since the place is so old, they don’t have outlets near the seats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The A\/C was hitting just right, even as it got full. They sport several TV’s, including one in the back room area. Speaking of, there is a dart board in the back room and you can actually play on it. You have to ask for the darts up front, and be mindful not to hit the TV sitting right above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gender neutral restroom for the win. No stalls with huge gaps — you can take a piss in peace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dining <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dublin house offers small snacks like chips, but no bar food. This is a place for drinking, and drinking only. They do not take reservations either. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Be warned! There is a $20 card minimum, which came as a surprise to me after I tried to close my tab on a single cider that I ordered. Luckily, my friend had cash so I was able to avoid buying extra drinks that none of us wanted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Atmosphere<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A very casual bar with a diverse clientile. The dimmed lighting fits right into NYC night life, and the music is just loud enough. The music was also really interesting the night I was there. It went from Boulevard of Broken Dreams to Sean Paul. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seating <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I was unable to count the total seating. It was lively, and I couldn’t take the embarassment of walking through and counting each booth and table. That being said, Dublin House can easily fit over 40 people in it total, and many more standing. There are several four person tables in the back, and several two person booths in the front as well as the lengthy bar. Definitely a bigger bar for NYC standards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
